Ally began her dance training at the age of 12 in Tracy, California. Since then, she has trained extensively in ballet, as well as jazz, modern and acrobatics. She studied ballet and modern at Marymount Manhattan College in New York City, as well as attended summer intensives at the Gelsey Kirkland academy of Classical Ballet and Oklahoma City Ballet. She has studied with Xavier Ferla, former principal dancer with Berlin Ballet, Royal New Zealand Ballet, and Alonzo Kings LINES Ballet. Ally continues to train with Linda Hurkmans at San Jose Dance Theater where she has performed principal roles in The Nutcracker and Chopins Etudes, as well as corps de ballet roles in Paquita. Ally was a teaching assistant for the 92nd Street Harkness Dance Center in Manhattan, and has been teaching her own ballet classes for the past 8 years.
