Maria Bellamy started her training at Grand Rapids Ballet Company in Grand Rapids Michigan at the age of 5. From there she went on to train at Michigan Ballet Academy. She hasattended summer intensive at Kirov, and American Ballet Theater in New York. She started teaching younger level ballet at the age of 16 in Michigan. When she was 18 she was welcomed to tour 8 different cities in Poland with the Polish National Ballet company with a small group from her ballet school in Michigan. From there she got a job at Central West Ballet Company in Modesto, California in 2016. She started teaching at the academy of Central West Ballet in 2017 and has had the privilege of teaching all ages of student between the ages of 2-18. She has gotten to do many roles as a dancer including Sugarplum, Snowqueen, and Arabian Pas in “The Nutcracker” Martha in “Secret Garden”, Morgana in “Romeo and Juliet”, Prayer in “Coppelia” Autumn Fairy in “Cinderella” and Carabosse and Lilac Fairy in “Sleeping Beauty” She just retired as a principal dancer May 2025.
